What is the difference between the Roo Double XL and the Roo Double?
The biggest difference between the Roo Double XL and Roo Double is the size of the hammock. The Roo Double is 10′ long by 5′ 7″ wide, and the Roo Double XL is 11′ 6″ long by 6″ 6″ wide. We recommend the Roo Double if you plan to camp in your hammock or if you will frequently be hammocking with two people. We recommend the Roo Double XL if you are tall, frequently hang with friends, or want more space to lounge in your hammock.

Do I need to order carabiners and straps?
Each Roo Double XL comes with a set (2) of Kanga Claw carabiners. Straps are not included. Order a set of Python 10 straps (or one of our other straps) to get your hammock off the ground and your adventure on its way.
Why are there loops along the sides of the Roo Double XL?
Gear loops are for quick access to gear. Attach a water bottle, headlamp, stuff sack, kendama, or any gear you always want ready.
How many people can fit in the Roo Double XL?
With a max capacity of 500 lb, the Roo Double XL hangs two plus people with maximum lounge space. If you’re camping, we recommend one person for the most comfortable hang all night long.
Will the Dragonfly Insect Net work with the Roo Double XL?
Yes! Our Roo Double XL is still compatible with our Dragonfly Insect Net. When the hammock is hung at the recommended 30º angle, it will fit just right.
How do I wash my Roo Double XL?
Hand washing your hammock with cold water and biodegradable detergent is best for extending its useful life, but it can also be cleaned in a washing machine (front-load machines are best). Washing machine instructions:
- Remove the carabiners and slings prior to wash.
- If the Roo Double is soiled or stained, use a small amount of powdered detergent (preferably biodegradable). Do not use fabric softener, bleach, or stain removal products.
- Wash the hammock by itself using the gentle/cold water setting.
- Hang to dry. The hammock will dry quickly in warm/dry environment. Do not stuff back in stuff sack damp or wet.
